Timberline HDZ RS
The Oklahoma verdict
Timberline HDZ RS is rated UL 2218 Class 3 (it survives a 1.75-inch steel ball dropped from 20 feet). That handles most Tulsa-metro storms well. If your neighborhood has taken hail two or more times in the last five years, we usually suggest stepping up to a Class 4 version of the same look.
Compare it with our Class 4 cost-vs-savings math and the hail-damage checklist.

Frequently asked questions
Is Timberline HDZ RS impact resistant?
Timberline HDZ RS carries a UL 2218 Class 3 rating. That is one step below the Class 4 rating most insurers look for when offering a hail credit. If a discount matters to you, ask us about the Class 4 version of the same look.
What is the wind warranty on Timberline HDZ RS?
15-year WindProven™ Limited Wind Warranty with no maximum wind-speed limitation (with required GAF accessories). Wind warranties from every manufacturer depend on using the brand's starter strips and hip & ridge, which is how Maxx Roofing installs every roof.
How much does a Timberline HDZ RS roof cost in Tulsa?
Price depends on roof size, pitch, layers to remove, decking condition and the accessories (underlayment, ice & water shield, ventilation) the system needs. We give a written, line-item estimate after a free on-roof inspection, and 9 out of 10 roofs we replace are paid through an insurance claim.
